Stellenbosch Wine & Country Estate

Covering 272 hectares with 100 hectares destined for wine growing, Stellenbosch Wine & Country Estate is the biggest and most prestigious new wine estate in the Cape Winelands.Stellenbosch Wine & Country Estate lies on the western border of the Stellenbosch region, close to the village of Klapmuts. The towns of Stellenbosch and Paarl are nearby, only 15 minutes by car, while Cape Town and Franschhoek are half an hour away.
Initiated in 2003, the Stellenbosch Wine & Country Estate project involves not only wine growing (Chenin Blanc, Pinotage and Shiraz, among other varieties) but also residential property and hotel and restaurant facilities. The Chenin Blanc has been bottled as well as the Pinotage and Shiraz. The construction of houses, guest cottages, a restaurant and new wine cellars is scheduled to start end of 2009.
Exclusive Culitravel is a participant in this project and became a stakeholder in Stellenbosch Wine & Country Estate in March 2005.
